Winner of the Bucks-Mont NARI 2006 Award for Residential Addition $100K to $250K

The clients requested a deep great room addition and an adjacent open porch remodeled into a library/office on the rear of their house.

Challenges included redesigning the proposed addition to fit within the building envelope, building floor joists over the concrete porch and tying it into the existing house to make it look original (there was an existing box window on the same side), and matching the existing cedar siding on the new house.

The owners also had two dogs who greeted us everyday, all day with enthusiastic barking. Sometimes, the radio just wasn’t enough!

Work was completed by July 2005.
