 | 2009 Best Residential Exterior National Winner
This home was built in 1923 and owned by a relative of the President of the Pennsylvania Railroad and impressionist painter Mary Cassatt. This house is rich in Philadelphia history. Interesting lines were created by using Douglas Fir Timbers to dress up the exterior and compliment surrounding stone. With the use of new and reclaimed building materials, three distinct areas were renovated in a way that honored the original era and grand style of the original house.

| Regional Winner of the 2007 Chrysalis Award for Residential Kitchens under $40,000
This 50’s style house included a boxed-in kitchen that was dark, poorly laid-out and offered poor storage and eat-in space. The owners wanted a Mediterranean feel and to focus on raw materials such as stone, metal and wood, without being out of context with the balance of the house.

| Winner of the 2006 Chrysalis Award for Best Room Addition Over $100,000
The primary request of the owner was to add space to their existing house that allowed them to entertain more efficiently while ensuring the addition/library kept the existing characteristics of the house. The final product greatly enhanced the abiltiy to entertain throughout all 4 seasons and provided the husband with a home office with highly insulated walls.
